After the 2014 Sinjar war, one of Yazidi families emigrated to Sweden.

The head of the family was the principal of the most famous primary school in the Hansur district. Thousands of students were graduated from this school, received a good secondary education and many of them entered institutes and mastered many specialties.

Zozan and Rava, the daughters of the family, were still young when their family immigrated from Iraq in search of a safer haven, since it was impossible for representatives of national minorities to stay in the country.

Sweden became the second homeland for this Yazidi family, the parents found a job, and the children went to school, and later to universities, justifying the work of their parents and the sleepless nights of study, the girls received master's degrees.

In 2017, Zozan and her sister Rava entered the Medical Faculty of the University of Jönköping, and after graduating from the university and receiving a bachelor's degree, the girls did not stop there and together applied to Karlstad University for a master's degree at the Faculty of Public Health, graduating from the university with honors.

Cultural Center of the Caucasus Yazidis always supports Yazidi youth who strive for knowledge and study, we congratulate sisters Zozan and Rava on receiving diplomas and wish them success in their personal lives and careers.
