Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Erin McKee, Deputy Administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) for European and Eurasian Affairs.

According to the press service of the Prime Minister of Georgia, attention was focused at the meeting on the continued support of the United States to Georgia in all major areas. It was stressed that this year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the United States and over the past 30 years, United States, through various programs, has made a great contribution to strengthening Georgia's democratic institutions, economic growth and support for Georgia's Euro-Atlantic aspirations. It was stressed at the meeting that Georgia is and will remain the closest and most reliable partner of the United States in the region and Georgia is ready to further strengthen this strong partnership.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Kelly C. Degnan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Georgia; John A. Pennell, USAID Mission Director in Georgia; Dr. Alexander Sokolowski, Deputy Assistant Administrator (DAA); Filip Jotevski, Special Assistant to USAID AA; Aaron Rupert, Deputy Chief of Mission for Political-Economic Affairs at the US Embassy in Georgia. From the Georgian side, the meeting was attended by Revaz Javelidze, Head of Government Administration.
