Salome Zurabishvili to pay official visit to North Macedonia

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili will pay an official visit to Northern Macedonia today. According to the press service of the Presidential Administration, within the framework of the official visit, meetings are planned with the highest officials of the Republic of North Macedonia: President Stevo Pendarovski, President of the National Assembly Talat Jaferi and First Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi.

After the official welcoming ceremony of the President of Georgia, which will take place at the Villa Vodno Palace, one-on-one and extended meetings with the President of the Republic of North Macedonia are planned.

Within the framework of the visit, two documents will be signed — an agreement between the Governments of Georgia and the Republic of North Macedonia on exemption from the obligation to obtain a visa and a Memorandum on cooperation with the Republic of North Macedonia in the field of culture.

After the signing of the documents, joint press statements of the President of Georgia and the President of the Republic of North Macedonia are planned.

The President is scheduled to meet with Georgian athletes and representatives of the cultural sphere working in Northern Macedonia.

The official delegation of the President of Georgia includes: Head of the Presidential Administration Natia Sulava, Member of the Parliament of Georgia, Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with North Macedonia Givi Mikanadze, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Teja Tsulukiani, Deputy Foreign Minister Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, Georgian Ambassador to North Macedonia Tamar Liluashvili, Presidential Adviser on Education, Culture and Science Konstantin Natsvlishvili and Director of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nino Baratashvili.

The President's official visit to North Macedonia will end on May 11.
