For violation of the rules of wearing a mask, a fine will be imposed. The corresponding changes will be included in the criminal code and on administrative offences.

According to the draft amendments, an individual will be fined 50 lari for violating the rules of wearing a mask in a closed public place. At the same time, a legal entity that allows a person without a mask to enter a closed public space that is in its possession or use will be fined 500 lari.

According to the bill, when traveling on public transport, metro, passengers and drivers must use a mask. If the passenger does not wear a mask, they will be fined 50 gel. A driver without a mask will also be fined 50 gel.

As for taxis (category M1), when traveling by taxi, the driver and passengers must wear masks. If the passenger does not wear a mask, they will be fined 50 gel, as well as the taxi driver. If more than four people (including the driver) travel by taxi, the driver and passengers will be fined 50 gel.

The changes also relate to violations of the rules of isolation and quarantine, according to which an individual will be fined 2000 lari, and a legal entity will be fined 10,000 lari.
