The aid sent to earthquake victims in the Afrin area and nearby Yazidi villages has been insufficient for the population. According to villagers, almost no aid has been delivered to Yazidi villages since the earthquake.

Dozens of Yazidi families in the Afrin region have been displaced and need assistance because of the earthquake, which occurred on February 6. Several villages were affected by the earthquake, about 80 homes were destroyed, and local Yazidis were deprived of aid.

A Yazidi non-governmental organization called Gazi Şems dikim provided the villagers with basic necessities such as food and tents for shelter.

Said, a civil activist from Afrin, told local media that the organization began building tents for those left homeless.

Locals say no one has helped them since the first day of the earthquake, only since March 1 the Gazi Şems dikim organization began to provide them with some assistance.

So far, about 25 Yazidi families have received tents, and about 50 families are still waiting for tents to settle.
