Dohuk region's interior Ministry signs agreement with UN to serve Yazidi refugee and displaced person camps

The Ministry of the interior in the Kurdistan region of Iraq and the Office of the United Nations high Commissioner for refugees have signed a joint agreement to provide assistance to Yazidi refugees and displaced persons in the provinces of the Dohuk region.

Under this agreement, the joint crisis management center (JCCC) under the Kurdistan Ministry of interior will manage infrastructure and water supply in all IDP and refugee camps.

It is worth noting that 94,574 are Yazidi refugees and 102,860 displaced persons who fled the war with ISIL, who live in Kurdistan and are housed in 35 camps, most of which are located in Dohuk province.
