According to the head of the National center for disease control Amiran Gamkrelidze, for a quick test for the new coronavirus, you can now contact the outpatient clinic yourself. A referral from a family doctor is no longer required.

He noted that the procedure for conducting the test is greatly simplified, if there are appropriate symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, etc.), anyone can immediately contact their clinic or other hospitals where they will be tested.

In case of a positive result, it will be desirable to consult a family doctor or it will be necessary to act on the memo that the patient will receive during testing.

More than 300 medical institutions included in the universal insurance Program have the right to conduct tests. Each municipality has at least one such institution.

Under the new Protocol developed by the government, barriers to testing are eased as much as possible. The number of tests is growing daily. Over the next two months, it is planned to conduct 20-25 thousand tests, including 10-12 thousand PCR and antibody tests.
