More than 30 Georgian citizens who arrived from China were quarantined in sachkhera

The government of Georgia organized transportation of those compatriots who, for various reasons, could not buy air tickets and return to Georgia on their own. The special flight from the Chinese city of Urumqi landed at the Tbilisi international airport after midnight. Georgian citizens were met by groups of doctors and epidemiologists.
"With the assistance of the government of Georgia, 34 people returned home from China. Their return took place with the help of a special aircraft provided by the government. Each of them underwent thermal screening and consultations with epidemiologists, " public television quoted Gamkrelidze as saying.
According to the results of initial examinations, none of the arrivals had symptoms of the disease. From the Tbilisi airport, all of them were transferred to a hotel-type complex at the hospital in the city of Sachkhere (Imereti region). There, 34 Georgian citizens will undergo a two-week quarantine.
In particular, at airports and checkpoints across the state border of Georgia, experts check all travelers. The Ministry of health also conducts an information campaign among the population. According to the government's decision, air traffic with China is suspended until March 29. It is also prohibited to import animals from China.
