Presidential Palace opens doors for meetings of expats and diasporas

Georgians living abroad will be able to get information they are interested in from representatives of the presidential administration.

On the initiative of Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, meetings with emigrants will be held regularly at the Orbeliani Palace (the residence of the head of state) from Tuesday, according to the website of the presidential administration of Georgia.

Meetings will be held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Georgians living abroad will be able to get information they are interested in from representatives of the presidential administration, as well as from representatives of the Department of Diaspora Affairs under the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Georgia.

Also, starting from February 18, the presidential Palace will have a space for meetings of Georgian emigrants and representatives of foreign diasporas.

Earlier, the head of state has repeatedly stated that it is important for the Georgian Diaspora in Tbilisi to have a place where they can get the necessary information about what opportunities exist in their homeland if they decide to return and work.
