The Georgian delegation was actively represented at the 56th Munich security conference, including the issue of Georgia was voiced from the high rostrum of the forum by high-level participants such as the us Secretary of state, the Turkish foreign Minister, and the conference organizer, who touched upon Georgia in the opening speech of the forum, — said Georgian foreign Minister David Zalkaliani, summing up the participation of the Georgian delegation in the Munich conference. According to David Zalkaliani, the conference actively discussed the main problem of Georgia related to the occupation of the country's territories.

The head of Georgian diplomacy highly appreciated the meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister and the us defense Minister. "It was very important that during the Munich conference we had a meeting with our main strategic partner — the United States. Once again, the firmness of the strategic partnership between Georgia and the United States was emphasized," said David Zalkaliani.

The foreign Minister also praised the meetings with German partners, including the Vice-President of the Bundestag, a representative of the German Federal government and the political Director of the German foreign Ministry. "We talked about all the problems that are relevant for our country. Of course, special attention was paid to the situation in the occupied territories. Germany's active participation in this process is very important for us," Zalkaliani said.

The Georgian delegation headed by Prime Minister Georgi Gakharia took part in the 56th Munich international conference, which was held on February 14-16.
