Starting from March 1, some covid restrictions will be lifted in Georgia

Since March 1, Georgia has lifted most of the restrictions that were in effect due to the coronavirus.
According to the new rules, all foreign citizens fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be able to freely cross both the air and land borders of Georgia. Unvaccinated persons will have to submit a negative PCR test done 72 hours before the trip. PCR testing on the third day upon arrival is no longer required.
Similar rules apply to citizens of Georgia.
If the visitor does not have test results or a vaccination certificate, he will have to spend five days in quarantine.

Clubs, restaurants and mass events

Since March 1, the permissible accumulation of people in enclosed spaces has also been increasing.
So, in restaurants and cafes, not six, but ten people can be at one table, and in open establishments - up to 15 instead of 10.
Observing these rules, it is allowed to hold feasts, arrange weddings and commemorations with an unlimited number of guests.
From March 4, the operation of nightclubs with 60% load is allowed.
From March 15, conferences, seminars and trainings will be held in Georgia without any restrictions.

Closing of covid hotels

Since March 1, quarantine spaces that have been equipped in hotels are being abolished.
Mandatory temperature checks, as well as registration logs and disinfection barriers have also been canceled in Georgia.

What restrictions are still in effect

Only wearing masks remains mandatory in Georgia, both outdoors and indoors.
The Georgian authorities have stated that they will not lift this restriction until the epidemiological situation is fully stabilized.
