Against the background of the coronavirus pandemic, the volume of foreign direct investment in Georgia in 2020 decreased by 57.2% compared to 2019 and amounted to 572 million dollars. This is a big loss for the country. Last year, the volume of investments increased slightly, by only 3.2% compared to January-September 2020 and amounted to $ 728.4 million.
To remedy the situation, the authorities intend to change the passive, in their opinion, policy.
