Zelensky thanked the Prime Minister of Georgia for participating in the Crimean Platform summit

Today, on August 23, the head of the Georgian government will take part in the founding summit of the Crimean Platform. It is already being called the largest international event ever held in Ukraine. The summit will be attended by delegations from 44 countries and international organizations.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili held a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev. This is reported by the press service of the Government of Georgia.
The issues of strategic partnership between the two countries, political and economic cooperation and international aspirations were discussed at the meeting.
It was noted that along with an exemplary partnership, Georgia and Ukraine have a common desire to take a worthy place in European and Euro-Atlantic structures, but at the same time they face problems such as violation of territorial integrity.
According to Zelensky, Georgian-Ukrainian relations in the last few months have been characterized by special dynamics and intensity. According to him, this is the result of increased contacts between officials of the two countries and high-level bilateral visits.
The President of Ukraine thanked Garibashvili for participating in the Crimean Platform summit and expressed strong support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
Zelensky also reiterated Ukraine's unwavering support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders.
The Prime Minister of Georgia arrived in Ukraine on August 21. In Kiev today, he also held talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmygal and with the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmitry Razumkov.
