Along with Germany, Georgian citizens will be able to get a legal job in Israel – registration will be made within a year.

Georgian citizens who want to get a legal job in Israel will be able to register on a special portal from April 12, the Ministry of Health said in a Facebook post.

Registration will continue throughout the year. Citizens will be able to find a job in this country thanks to the agreement signed between Israel and Georgia. Deputy Minister of Health Tamara Barkalaya and Israeli Ambassador to Georgia Ran Gidor discussed issues of legal employment at the meeting.

"This is a great opportunity for about 1,000 Georgians to come and work in Israel. This is a relatively new area of activity in Israel. And we were particularly careful about which countries and which governments to turn to. At this stage, only two countries have been selected, one of them is Georgia," Gidor said.

According to the Ambassador, they highly appreciate the qualification and professional training that specific specialists undergo in Georgia.

"Today, another step has been taken to ensure that Georgian citizens have the opportunity to work legally in various developed countries. From Monday, we will start implementing the agreement signed with Israel, under which home care professionals will be able to find a job in Israel for one year, " Barkalaya said.

According to her, this is an important progress for Georgian citizens who want to find a job abroad for legal work and that their labor rights are protected.

The initial registration must be carried out on a special registration portal.

From April 1, Georgian citizens can legally work in Germany. To do this, they had to register on the agency's website. To date, almost 100 thousand people have already registered. Not 500 people will be able to go to Germany for temporary seasonal work, as it was originally planned, but five thousand.

The first seasonal workers from Georgia will arrive in Germany in early May 2021. Georgian citizens will work in the districts of Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, and Brandenburg. Now, job seekers are trained and receive all the necessary information.
