The questions of the parliamentary majority to the Prime Minister will concern assistance to the population and the future prospects of the country

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, together with the Cabinet of Ministers, will present a report on the work done during the coronavirus to the Parliament today on may 27.

The Parliament has been waiting for the Prime Minister for a long time. Even during the Declaration of a state of emergency in Georgia and during its extension, George Gakharia, despite the calls of opposition factions, preferred to avoid communicating with deputies and answer questions from the parliamentary Secretary of the government.

In his speech, the Prime Minister will not only talk about the work done by the government, but also answer questions from lawmakers.

"The opposition will mostly have questions. The public is interested in some questions, and I think that the Prime Minister's speech will contain concrete answers to them. If it is necessary to clarify, we will do it, " said Gia Volsky, a member of the parliamentary majority.

At the same time, the MP noted that the majority of questions will concern assistance to the population and the future prospects of the country.

The opposition has already said that it is preparing a lot of urgent questions for the head of government.

"We openly talk about the problems that exist. We will try to convince the authorities and society of our position. First of all, the questions will concern management and the crisis that has arisen in it, "said Sergo Ratiani, a member of the European Georgia – movement for freedoms party.

According to him, the issues will concern the revision of budget expenditures and the implementation of a number of projects, the belated issuance of aid to the population and the issue of economic revival.

Independent MP EKI Beselia also had questions about assistance.

"I am interested in a broad view of the second wave of coronavirus, and what preventive measures the government is taking," Eka Beselia said.

At the same time, she noted that she is interested in what other restrictions the government plans in the near future and in the pre-election period.
