The two remaining Yazidi girls arrived in Iraqi Kurdistan recently after being released from the al-Khol camp, where families of ISIS members live.

Back in August 2014, when ISIS terrorists captured Sinjar in Northern Iraq after the Iraqi army collapsed in the face of terrorist attacks, ISIS kidnapped 6,417 Yazidis.

According to the latest data, more than 3,500 kidnapped people were saved from capture by the extremist group.

The girls Leila and Ronia were slaves in the families of ISIS. Like thousands of girls, they were stolen from Yazidi villages and sold into slavery.

In the families of ISIS, they were bullied, beaten, humiliated, and so on. But despite all the horrors of slavery and captivity, the girls managed to survive and escape.

Laila Hassan Murad (17 years old), who was released a few months ago, could not meet her family and friends because of the coronavirus and quarantine.

It is worth noting that due to the coronavirus and the quarantine measures taken, roads, border crossings and airports were closed, and that is why Laila and Ronia could not reach their families. after their release, they temporarily stayed in a Yazidi house.

The girls, in addition to their relatives, were met by representatives of the local authorities and clergy of the Yazidi Diaspora.
