Round table - Muslims and Yazidis-the way to dialogue Round table-without Yazidis
Back on October 24, 2019, a working meeting of representatives of the Muslim and (Yazidi) public in Russia, who call themselves Kurds-Yazidis, was organized by the Institute of Yazidi religion and history, the Association for international cooperation "Time and peace" and the editorial office of The riataza Portal.
At this round table, again, mistakenly or intentionally, Yazidis were represented as Kurds-Yazidis, they talked about the genocide, about why the Yazidis did not accept Islam and remained on the faith of their ancestors.
It was not said how the Yazidis were forcibly forced to convert to Islam after the seventh century and many of them were called Kurds. Yazidi representatives of the clergy and representatives of the culture, tradition, and history of the Yazidi people were not invited.
It so happened that the dynamics of subsequent events, few have pushed back the publication of information.
The editors of the site want to add that such "meetings" do not mean anything significant, "meetings for the sake of meeting". The round table was held in the format of a dialogue , but the question arises of a dialogue between whom and whom ? If the main issue of the meeting was "the way of dialogue between Yazidis and Muslims", then why were there Muslims at the meeting, and Yazidis who are true to their faith Sharvadin was not present. We can conclude that the meeting was a kind of "path", but at the same time they call Yazidis- Kurds-Yazidis ? Nonsense.
