Administration of Government: Over 150,000 pensioners will have their loan interest reduced

More than 150,000 pensioners will have their loan interest reduced. The said decision was made at a meeting held in the Administration of the Government, where Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze met with acting President of the National Bank Natia Turnava and Director General of Liberty Bank Beka Gogichaishvili.­

According to the Administration of the Government, for more than 150,000 pensioners who took a loan before 2023, the interest on the loan will be reduced and will be equal to the interest that had been established since 2023.

"At the meeting held in the Administration of the Government, it was mentioned that Liberty Bank will continue to work with the National Bank on the implementation and specific details.

While discussing the issue, the head of the government emphasized that it is important to start the next stage on time and pensioners to be able to benefit from the updated conditions", reads the press release.
