Georgian Parliament will consider the draft state budget for 2024 at the plenary session today, November 15.

The main financial document for the next year will be presented at the session by the Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili.

The following macroeconomic parameters are envisioned within the 2024 draft budget: real economic growth is planned at the rate of 5.2%, and in the mid-term period the forecast of real economic growth is 5%. The GDP deflator forecast is 3%, and the same figure will be maintained in the coming years. The average inflation forecast is within the target and amounts to 2.8%.

The nominal GDP forecast is set at GEL 85.4 billion and the gross domestic product per capita exceeds $8,500.

The cumulative budget deficit is 2.5% of GDP and the government debt figure is 38.2% of GDP.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the updated financial sector profit tax indicator and the increase in gambling tax rates increase tax revenues of the 2024 budget by GEL 700.0 million. Accordingly, the expenditure part of the budget increases and amounts to GEL 28.5 billion.
