"We are working with China Southern Airlines to increase the number of direct flights and add more cities. We have agreed that soon we will have at least one flight a day with China, but our ambitions are bigger. I will tell you straight out, our target number to different cities in China can be up to ten flights a day, so that we can ensure flows that will be noticeable and bring tangible results from an economic point of view," Levan Davitashvili, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, said at a briefing held in the administration governments.

Clarification on the issue of visa-free regime between Georgia and China was followed by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. Levan Davitashvili noted that Chinese citizens will be able to stay in Georgia for 30 days without visas at the first stage.

In addition, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, it is also necessary to raise awareness about Georgia as a tourist destination in China.

"We had a conversation with our Chinese colleagues and partners about the need to plan, finance and implement appropriate marketing campaigns to make the country of tourist destination — Georgia more popular in China. We will work together with our Chinese partners to conduct more targeted and result—oriented campaigns", Levan Davitashvili said.
