Italian legend Al Bano solo concert to be held in Tbilisi
Tbilisi will host a solo concert of Italian singer, Italian pop legend Al Bano.
The Italian star will perform in front of the Georgian audience for the first time on November 24 at 20 o'clock in Tbilisi at the Grand Concert Hall (Philharmonic Hall). The organizer is the charity foundation "Life is Beautiful".
Al Bano (real name Albano Antonio Carrisi - ed.) appeared in the world of music back in the 70s of the last century.
According to the organizers, 80-year-old Al Bano will present the show together with his bend. During two hours Georgian audience will hear live performance of the Italian legend.
"I am coming to Georgia for the first time, I am looking forward to this meeting, as I want to get acquainted with the Georgian people, which has long attracted me, I am sure - interesting impressions await me", - says Al Bano.
The general public fell in love with Al Bano after his performance of the song for the movie Nel sole in 1967. The success of the record did not last long - 1,300,000 copies were sold.
On the filming of this movie Al Bano met his future wife - an American actress and aspiring singer Romina Power.
In 1970, Al Bano and Romina Power married and their first song together, Storia di due innamorati ("The Story of Two Lovers"), was released.
