Telephone conversation between Irakli Garibashvili and Olaf Scholz took place
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili had a telephone conversation with German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
During the phone conversation, the Prime Minister and the German Federal Chancellor spoke about the positive decision made by the European Commission.
The German Federal Chancellor positively assessed the progress achieved by Georgia, which was confirmed by the European Commission.
Prime Minister thanked Olaf Scholz for the important assistance and support in the process of implementing the EU recommendations and emphasized the importance of further support of the Federal Republic of Germany on the way to European integration.
The Chancellor noted that Germany will continue to support Georgia on its way to the European Union.
As Irakli Garibashvili noted, Georgia is waiting for the confirmation of the positive recommendation issued by the European Commission from the European Council at the end of the year, which will lead our country to a new stage of EU integration.
According to the Head of Government, the Government of Georgia will continue the process of implementation of the recommendations that has been successfully started.
Irakli Garibashvili and Olaf Scholz agreed to continue intensive communication and result-oriented cooperation in order to exchange information on further steps.
