According to French President Emmanuel Macron, the Kremlin tends to see external influence in any movement of the people.

He noted that in recent days Georgia has been affected by "disturbing events" and has experienced "very strong pressure".

Macron was asked a question by a journalist from France-Presse about the development of events in Georgia. In particular, the French president was asked about Moscow's assessment that a foreign hand was allegedly involved in the protests in Georgia in recent days. Macron was also asked if he himself sees Putin's hand in the bill, which was withdrawn by the Georgian parliament.

"There is a tendency in the Kremlin, which is not new, to imagine that every public demonstration is a foreign manipulation because the fundamental belief is that there is neither public opinion nor free people. We are an ancient democracy and we see the opposite, but in recent days Georgia has been affected by disturbing events. We saw footage of a young woman holding a European flag, which, to put it mildly, was moved back, which did not leave us indifferent. Georgia has experienced very strong pressure, and we hope that we will find a way to greater peace", Macron said.
