The European Commission has prepared the following recommendations for Georgia

Recommendations from the European Commission for Georgia:

- The equation of Georgia's visa policy in accordance with the list of third EU countries that require a visa to enter the EU. In particular, with those third countries that pose a risk to the EU in terms of illegal migration or security;

- Continuation of work on solving the problem of unjustified asylum claims in the Member States; Conducting information campaigns on visa-free travel for migrants, including vulnerable groups, including persons staying beyond the permitted period, as well as persons submitting unjustified asylum applications;

- To intensify efforts to combat corruption, especially against private interests and their influence in the economic and political spheres, in particular by strengthening the independence and coordination of anti-corruption institutions, as well as providing them with the necessary resources;

- To complete the work on bringing the national legislation on combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism in full compliance with EU legislation;

- Strengthen the fight against organized crime, especially with networks associated with operations in the EU;

- Fully comply with the procedures for appointing judges of the Supreme Court on the recommendations of the Venice Commission and adopt/implement legislation that will assess the integrity and effectiveness of the work of judges of the Supreme Court;

- Ensure the independence of the data protection authority.
