It is planned to create a state children's oncology clinic in Georgia

According to Georgian Health Minister Zurab Azarashvili, there are plans to create a state children's oncology clinic and expand oncohematology services in the country.

According to the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs, for this purpose the agency created a working group, whose members visited the leading state onco-hematology clinics in Tel Aviv - Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital, Ichilov Medical Center and Hadassah Medical Center.

Representatives of the Ministry of Health held meetings with clinic managers and clinicians and got acquainted with the practices and experience implemented in the direction of oncohematological services. The parties also discussed prospects for further cooperation. They also met with representatives of non-governmental organizations, working in the field of pediatric oncology, which through the mobilization of non-budgetary funds and a universal solidarity contribute to the development of pediatric oncology services in Israel.

In the process of creating a state children's oncology clinic in Georgia, the department plans to adopt the (best) experience of developed countries and attract foreign specialists to this process. After Israel, the members of the working group will get acquainted with the practice of haemato-oncology services in Germany.
