Kutaisi Airport resumes receiving aircraft
Kutaisi airport resumes accepting planes today after repairing the runway, the Georgian Airports Union confirmed.
The airport in Kutaisi has been closed for three weeks, since October 10. All this time flights were redirected to Tbilisi.
In connection with the repairs earlier, the Airports Union announced a tender for 8 million GEL (about $2.8 million).
As of early October, six airlines were operating at the Kutaisi airport, operating regular flights to 28 destinations in 17 countries.
