What does Kurmancî mean?
Kurmancî means “Kurmanji.” Northern Kurdish, the principal community and liturgical language of most Yazidis.
Community and identity language is sensitive to speaker, region, and political context. Variants are recorded without treating one contemporary identity position as universal.
