Accuracy is our highest-priority reason for hearing from readers.

Corrections from Yazidi readers receive priority in our editorial queue.

Quote or describe the specific sentence, paragraph, image, caption, or citation.

What you believe is incorrect:
Explain the problem as specifically as possible.

Suggested correction:
Tell us what you believe the correct information should be.

Supporting source:
If available, provide a book, academic paper, archive, institutional document, community publication, primary source, or other evidence that can help us verify the correction.

You do not need to be an academic to report an error.

First-hand linguistic, cultural, historical, regional, and community knowledge can also help us identify issues that require further investigation.

Yazidi Community Feedback

We especially welcome feedback from Yazidi readers.

Academic literature does not always describe Yazidi religion, terminology, customs, or identity in the same way that members of the community understand them.

If you believe we have confused an external scholarly interpretation with a Yazidi understanding, please tell us.

Useful context can include:

  • how a term is normally used within your community;
  • whether a practice is regional rather than universal;
  • alternative spellings or pronunciations;
  • how a religious concept is understood internally;
  • differences between older and contemporary practice;
  • relevant Yazidi publications or recordings; or
  • perspectives missing from the article.

Community feedback does not automatically replace documented evidence. Instead, it can alert us to places where an article needs additional research, qualification, attribution, or another perspective.

If your concern can be explained without identifying a survivor or vulnerable person, please do so.

We do not require traumatic personal testimony simply to establish that an article needs review.

Yazidis.info is not a religious authority.

We may research questions about the historical or scholarly documentation of Yazidi religion, but we cannot issue religious rulings or determine correct religious practice.

Please understand that Yazidis.info does not represent the Yazidi community.
