Migration has always been one of the key issues in human history. About the causes of migration, everyone has long known, economic problems, martial law, etc. Today in this article we will talk about the Yazidis and about our involuntary migration and the weakness of European countries on refugee issues. We all know the sad events of 2014, which took place in Iraq/The conflict with the Yazidis led to migration. It is easy to guess that the Yazidis decided to migrate to European countries, because the socio-economic standard of living in these countries attracts. However, the reality is often very different from our expectations. This is due to the fact that at the moment Europe and those countries that "sheltered" Yazidi migrants are in a crisis situation.

Why is this crisis breaking out now? As you know, Europe has been a crossroads of human mobility since ancient times. Throughout history, the region has been a central part of the global migration systems that its States have helped to create and shape, mainly through mercantilist and colonial expansion. The failure of the international community to address conflicts, violence and human rights violations in the countries of origin has been another key factor in the sharp increase in illegal migration to Europe. There is no international political framework for ending the conflict in Syria/Iraq. Naturally, all this failure of the international community to address and change the situation in the Middle East has led to a flood of immigration among the Yazidis and other ethnic minorities who have suffered.

The European migrant crisis, also known as the refugee crisis, began in 2015 and is characterized by a large number of people arriving in the European Union via the Mediterranean Sea or by land through Southeastern Europe. Most of the migrants came from Muslim-majority countries in regions south and east of Europe, including the Middle East.

Critics of the EU refugee program often highlight one big flaw in the program. The flaw is that the EU has not studied the issue of the Yazidi national minorities, namely who they are and why the genocide was committed. For example, such nonsense on the part of the EU, " The surviving Yazidi migrants were sent to live side by side with those who caused them all these troubles." Imagine this picture, a Yazidi family is in a camp, and next to them live a family of ISIS sheep.

The EU and other international organizations turn a blind eye to this, because for them all people from the Middle East are one people with one religion.

The snobbery of these countries towards the Yazidis and other non-Muslim national minorities remains unchanged even outside the camps. Those Yazidis who were able to get out of these camps and get to European countries say that they had to go through the hell of bureaucracy to somehow convince them that they are victims (you can read our interviews that we took with migrants in France yazidis.info/en/news/399/).

The root of the problems is that the EU countries do not delve into the problems of Yazidis and they do not select thorough programs for the rehabilitation of Yazidi migrants. Most often, they are added to the same "bed" with all of them and because of this, a resonance is created, which leads to a deterioration in the situation of the Yazidis. In addition to all the above problems, Yazidi immigrants are facing a pandemic. The survival of the Yazidis has become much more difficult to live with and there is no way out of the current situation until we Yazidis are considered "another people from the Middle East" and this snobbery inherent in European countries does not disappear.
