Sinjar is a province in Northern Kurdistan, Iraq, where 30,000 tons of grapes are produced annually. Grapes are grown in small Yazidi villages and are the main source of income for the villagers. Two grape varieties are sent to other cities in Northern Kurdistan and Turkey, where they are made into wine.

The head of the village Ali Kulikhan said that there are many processing enterprises in the city where wine is made from grapes. Enterprises provide producers with information about what kind of grape it is and whether it is damaged.

In addition to eating and drying grapes into raisins, grapes grown in Sinjar are used to make wine, which is made by processing grapes and fermenting them. During fermentation, alcohol is formed, which gives the wine a characteristic taste.

The wine industry in Sinjar is relatively new, but it is growing rapidly. Wine is popular in Kurdistan and Turkey, and is also exported to other countries. The wine industry provides rural residents with jobs and income, as well as contributes to the development of the region.
