Who and how much is investing in Georgia?
The total foreign direct investment in Georgia in the second quarter of 2023, according to preliminary estimates, increased by 29.9 per cent compared to the same period of 2022 and amounted to 505.7 million dollars.
According to the National Statistics Service, the most popular sectors for investment in Georgia in the second quarter of 2023 were financial and insurance activities, energy, manufacturing, trade and real estate.
According to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, the growth of foreign direct investment in Georgia indicates that investors trust the stable, sustainable and predictable environment created in the country due to the right government policies.
