Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Austria Wolfgang Sobotka, Speaker of the Czech Parliament Markéta Pekarová Adamová and Speaker of the Parliament of the Slovak Republic Boris Kollar.

According to the press service of the prime minister, the sides discussed friendly relations and a wide range of cooperation between the Republic of Georgia and the Republics of Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Attention was drawn to the fact that Georgia is awaiting candidacy status at the end of the year and the country is implementing the 12 priorities in an inclusive, consistent and transparent manner. It was said that Georgia remains a reliable partner and security ally of the European Union.

According to the Prime Minister, Georgia is worthy of receiving candidate status, which will lessen polarization and promote the stable development of the country.

The conversation touched on issues of Euro-Atlantic integration and Black Sea security.
