"In the last century of Yazidi literary history there was a frightening stagnation due to genocide, until all of our literature became oral, beginning with thousands of folk proverbs and sayings, through the traditional songs that were and remain the most graceful part of our culture.

The loss of writing exposed the Yazidi language to suffering, including the loss of words, the loss of correct pronunciation, the weakening of the beauty of our sacred language, and the burying of grammatical concepts under the fragile rules of other languages. Some Yazidis have begun to forget their mother tongue and have been content to replace its words, content, deep meanings and essence. There is a connection in the Yazidi linguistic depth that preserved in the coffers of some of our pious clergymen and our creative singers was a priceless treasure until the Yazidi cultural center completed its politicized role in distorting every word that appears in religious texts and in our entire linguistic heritage. Many members of the clergy distort the language because of illiteracy and forgetfulness. Many verses and hymns are recited in distorted Arabic, when the Yazidi language is rich in the concept and meaning of every word.

Because of the erasure of the Yazidi linguistic identity, extraneous words have intertwined with authentic words, and scandalous pronunciation with the eloquent pronunciation of many vocabulary of our language, and we have all been victims of these malicious attacks in one way or another, poets, writers, media workers and journalists, I now realize that after I have delved into the Yazidi dictionary and (Koxmanya) that is, its deep and complex grammar, I declare my innocence before the story of every extraneous word I have used in any Yazidi text, published or unpublished on social media, and every non-Yazidi grammatical or expressive method I have adopted, and every letter I have pronounced not as its proper Yazidi pronunciation. Yazidi language is ancient in its history, rich in its vocabulary, and deserves to be deeply researched, preserved, and revived, using it with unparalleled pride in media and literature.

In turn, I urge everyone who writes anything and believes in the living Yazidi language to disavow extraneous vocabulary and move forward to creativity in a sober Yazidi language pattern".
