In Saratov region Yazidis held an interesting event
At the initiative of Davreshyan Muraz Karamovich, a member of the Public Chamber of Saratov Region, Chairman of the Board of the Regional Public Organization of Saratov Region "Yezidi National and Cultural Center "Friendship of Nations", a group of public figures visited the school "School of Kleshevka", where 56 Yezidi children study.
An extracurricular event was held at the school titled "Yezidis. Nation, Culture and Traditions". The event was attended by students in grades 1-11, mostly Yezidis.
The speakers of the event were:
⁃ Amoyan Misha Frikovich - teacher of special disciplines of the Saratov College of Water Transport, Construction and Service, assistant of the Department of IHS, Gagarin SSTU Y.A., assistant member of the public chamber of the Saratov region Davreshaya M.K.
⁃ Shamoyan Muraz Hasanovich - teacher of computer science of V.I. Razumovsky State Medical University, member of the regional public association "Yezidi national-cultural center "Friendship of Peoples".
Davreshyan Maxim Murazovich - Member of the Youth Council on interethnic relations at the Ministry of Internal Policy and Public Relations of the Saratov region, member of the regional public association "Yezidi National-Cultural Center "Friendship of Peoples".
Muraz Hasanovich told the students about the history of the origin of the Yezidis, about religion, language, identity, creed and modern distribution of the people. Maksim Murazovich gave information about the way of life of Yezidis, traditional holidays, national traditions, costumes and a variety of Yezidi cuisine. Misha Frickovich told the children about Yezidis, who are recognized as heroes, about public and scientific figures of Saratov region, about the outstanding sportsmen, cultural and art figures.
After the speech, the guests talked to the children and left them memorable gifts - calendars on which the main Yezidi holidays are marked.
