According to Yazidi media reports, a UN convoy with 112 tons of flour and food baskets has entered areas of northwestern Syria. The aid was sent to victims of the massive earthquake that struck Syria on February 6.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), 28 truckloads of humanitarian aid arrived in the Bab al-Hawa, Sarmada, al-Dana and Khazanu areas in the northern countryside of Idlib. According to Yazidi human rights activists and activists, nothing has reached Yazidi villages in Syria. The reason for this may be due to controlled illegal groups that have not been allowed to enter the villages inhabited by the Yazidi minority.

Sources say this is the latest in a series of humanitarian aid convoys sent to the region after the earthquake. On March 28, a similar UN convoy of 32 humanitarian aid trucks entered areas in northwestern Syria.

The UN and other organizations are working to help and support people affected by the earthquake, which severely damaged infrastructure, homes and businesses, leaving many people without access to food, water and medical care. Humanitarian aid convoys are a vital tool for these communities, helping to ensure that they receive the help they need to rebuild.

The situation in Yazidi neighborhoods and villages in Syria remains catastrophic, with no human rights organizations or aid convoys going in.
