38 countries, including Georgia, have appealed to The Hague Court regarding the investigation of Russian war crimes, the warrant for Putin is the result of this investigation, Mamuka Mdinaradze, chairman of the faction of the ruling Georgian Dream party in Georgia, wrote on the social network.

"Again, just the facts:

On March 2, 2022, a week after the outbreak of the war, 38 countries of the world, including Georgia, appealed to The Hague Court regarding the investigation of Russian war crimes. Many countries did not join this call, among which was, for example, Moldova.

Based on the appeal, the Hague Court launched an investigation. The warrant issued against Putin a few days ago is the result of this investigation.

These days, protests were held in Tbilisi on the grounds that the Georgian authorities allegedly do not support Ukraine ... these days, the Ukrainian authorities recalled the ambassador from Georgia for the same reason…

As for Georgia's legal framework regarding the Hague Court:

123 countries participate in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Currently, they do not include, for example, Ukraine itself, Russia, the USA, etc.

Georgia, one of the member states of the Rome Statute, is among the 22 countries that have fully regulated the country's legal framework for cooperation with The Hague Court, unlike the 16 member states of the European Union that have not yet created the legal basis for procedural interaction with the Court", Mamuka Mdinaradze wrote on Facebook.
