Georgian President begins visit to the USA
Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili has traveled to the United States, where she will take part in the 67th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women in New York.
According to the press service, today on March 6, the President of Georgia will address representatives of the UN member states, who will discuss issues of strengthening women and girls, innovation, technological change and education in the digital age during the session of the UN Economic and Social Council on the status of women.
During his working visit to New York, the Georgian President is scheduled to meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammad, Executive Director of the UN Women's Organization Sima Sami Bacchus, Administrator of the UN Development Program Achim Steiner.
In addition, the President of Georgia will hold a bilateral meeting with the presidents of the participating countries of the forum and the Mayor of New York Eric Adams.
The Georgian President is scheduled to visit Yale and Harvard Universities, where the Georgian President will deliver a public lecture at the John F. Kennedy School of Public Administration.
The Georgian President will also visit the Harvard Club in New York, where he will discuss with the club members the situation in the region and the geopolitical situation.
During his working visit to the United States, the President of Georgia will meet with representatives of the Georgian diaspora.
