The Prime Minister of Iraq discussed the steps of reconstruction of Sinjar with the governor and heads of departments of the region
A meeting between the Prime Minister of Iraq and the Governor of Sinjar was held in Mosul in the presence of the First Deputy Governor, his assistants and the directors of Sinjar reconstruction services.
Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani ordered the government to direct engineering and construction efforts to Sinjar Province and related areas to launch a major reconstruction campaign for the region.
Below are the most important points that need to be achieved:
1. Compensation, in which all compensation transactions of Sinjar residents will be taken into account in order to pay them directly, allocate sufficient amounts for them and track unfinished transactions in order to complete them quickly.
2. About the martyrs: 145 Yazidi men who were martyred, whose bodies were identified and buried, immediately pay compensation to their relatives.
3. The creation of a special fund for the restoration of Sinjar and the surrounding areas, including the Al-Qahtani district.
4. Instruct all services to prepare lists of projects that the region needs for immediate implementation, in addition to projects that are in the budget of the governorate.
5. Instruct the Ministry of Migration and Displaced Persons to distribute the amounts of the return subsidy to all Yazidi families returning to Sinjar, with the allocation of food baskets for them for a period of six months.
6. Instructing all districts in Sinjar to open their districts in order to stabilize the region.
