Rustam Aloyan thoughts aloud about Yazidis and Kurds

Rustam Aloyan is a Ukrainian scientist of Yazidi origin, born on June 5, 1990 in Soviet Armenia. After the war, his family was forced to leave Armenia and began to live in Ukraine. In 2011 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2016, he successfully defended his dissertation and received the degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences, is the author of more than 12 scientific papers.

Rustam Aloyan expressed several theses about the difference between Yazidi people and Kurds:

1. Yazidis live compactly in their Historical Homeland: the Shangal region in northern Iraq and Yazidis also live compactly on the territory of Armenia;

2. Yazidis have preserved their own religion, traditions, customs, cuisine, clothing, terminology;

3. Yazidis and Kurds fought a lot with each other, but today relations require peace, friendship and partnership for the sake of the interests of both peoples;

4. Yazidis have their own media;

5. The Yazidis have their own leaders, for example, in Armenia, the national leader of Yazidi people is Khdr Khadjoyan, the successor of the hero of Yazidis Aziz Tamoyan.
