According to Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia, the negotiation process at the 56th round of international negotiations in Geneva was particularly difficult.

"First of all, because there was a certain break in the negotiations between the rounds, and also because the security situation around us is quite complicated, which is naturally reflected in the occupied territories. Due to this break, according to the decision of the Co-Chairs, the round should have been entirely devoted to the implementation of the 6-point Agreement.

Of course, we always put this issue on the agenda — it is the implementation of the six-point Agreement and important issues completely related to the Georgian-Russian conflict. First of all, this is the issue of the return of displaced persons, security guarantees, international security mechanisms in the occupied territories, and so on. Unfortunately, we have not received any positive response from the Russian side, although the process is ongoing and we will look into it. As you know, Georgia fulfills its obligations under the 6-point Agreement. The reality is that Russia does not fulfill these obligations, we have such a situation today", Darsalia said.
