Georgia's budget will grow by 1.266 billion GEL — where will this money be invested
Economic growth allowed to increase budget revenues by 1.266 billion GEL, said Minister of Finance of Georgia Lasha Khutsishvili.
According to him, the country has gained more revenue in the last eight months because of increased exports, tourism, foreign direct investment and an increase in the number of VAT-paying businesses.
In the end, the country's budget will be 16 billion 824 million GEL and Georgia will take 710 million GEL less loans.
The growth of income, the minister noted, will increase the financing of the construction of towns for police and military. It is also planned to increase the financing of the Program to help farmers with small farms by 40 million GEL, and the financing of Rtveli (grape harvest in Georgia) by 70 million GEL.
In addition, 50 million will be allocated for the purchase of a rescue helicopter, 80 million for the construction and reconstruction of sports grounds.
