Hazim Tahsin Beg, head of the Supreme Yazidi Spiritual Council in Iraq, accompanied by his wife Mian Khairy, visited Cardinal Louis Raphaël Sako (Chaldean Catholic Patriarchate).

During this visit, the Emir of the Yazidis spoke about the cause of religious and national minority rights in Iraq, stressing the importance of granting their rights in Baghdad and Erbil.

The point was raised that there should be a balance in the assignment of positions given to minorities and to match the density of the national minorities.

Hazim Tahsin Beg pointed out the importance of giving more importance to donations for Christians, Yazidis and Sabean Mandeans and the importance of increasing the budget. The topic of giving Yazidis the right to participate in religious gatherings was also touched upon.
