The Iraqi News Agency, together with the UN investigation team, uncovers twenty cases of ISIS crimes in Iraq against the Yazidi minority

The United Nations Team (UNITAD), which specializes in investigating and uncovering crimes committed by ISIS terrorist gangs in Iraq, continues its work to uncover crimes committed against Yazidi civilians in Iraq.

Christian Ritscher, Special Adviser and Head of the Investigative Team specialized in uncovering ISIS crimes in Iraq (UNITAD), said in an extensive interview with the Iraqi News Agency (INA):

"In accordance with UN Security Council Resolution No. 2379 (2017), the Council authorized an investigative team (UNITAD) to strengthen responsibility for international crimes committed by ISIS terrorist gangs in Iraq. The team was established in Baghdad in 2018, then two additional offices were opened in Erbil and Dohuk.

The Investigative Task Force (UNITAD), from the beginning of its tasks, has started various lines of investigation to collect, document and preserve evidence of crimes committed by ISIS terrorists which can be equated to war crimes, crimes against humanity and recognized as genocide".
