The government of Georgia has approved its own strategy for the country's development until 2030.

"Georgia's Development Strategy - Vision 2030" was developed by the government on the initiative of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

According to the Head of the Government Administration, Revaz Javelidze, the long-term political document is based on the UN Sustainable Development Agenda for the period until 2030. At the same time, the strategy "fully complies" with the principles of the Association Agreement between Georgia and the EU.

"According to the strategy, the government will carry out reforms until 2030 in such important areas as the development of economic and social policy until 2030, strengthening stability and security, effective governance, justice and improving the protection of human rights," Javelidze said.

The public will be able to get acquainted with the document in a few days.

Prime Minister Garibashvili said that the strategy is based on the common desire of the people to build a strong democratic state.

“This is our common task - social equality, quality healthcare, education, ecologically clean and healthy environment, strengthening of democracy, security and stability”, Garibashvili  said.
