With the participation of 25 Yezidi boys and girls, the «Masarat» Cultural and Media Development Foundation launched a specialized program to empower Yezidi youth and activists and strengthen their potential in order to form a sustainable team that will build peace in the areas of ethnic and racial diversity.

The new Masarat program aims to use all available opportunities and ways to resolve conflicts that exist or will appear later on the plains of Nineveh, Sinjar and Kirkuk.

During the three-day training, as a starting point, the group will undergo an intensive step-by-step training that transforms conflict into negotiations, peacebuilding and communication mechanisms, conducted by Iraq and international experts inside and outside Iraq.

The new Masarat team strives to develop working mechanisms based on tolerance, social justice and solidarity among the constituents of society, strengthen partnerships with the authorities in these areas and direct all efforts and opportunities to build peace, strengthen coexistence and trust in the multiethnic Iraq society.
