France has repatriated 16 women with children from camps in northeastern Syria where families of ISIS militants live.

Instead of helping the representatives of the Yezidi minority who suffered the genocide in 2014 in Iraq, France decided to help the families of ISIS, women whose husbands took part in the genocide, murders and kidnappings of the Yezidi people.

"France has committed itself to the return to the country of 35 French minors (of Arab origin) who were in camps in northeastern Syria. This operation also includes the return of 16 mothers from the same camps," the French Foreign Ministry said on July 5.

The Ministry clarified that the children were transferred to child protection services, and the women were transferred to the competent judicial authorities. The French Foreign Ministry thanked the Kurdish administration of the northeast of Syria for providing the possibility of repatriation.

Earlier, France refused to repatriate its citizens from Syria in large groups, citing risks to its security. Before the last operation, France had repatriated 126 children since 2016.

To date, European countries give the status of a residence permit and citizenship to persons who entered the country under various pretexts, and despite the fact that they do not fall under refugee laws, they are issued documents confirming a residence permit.

But no one thinks to take care of the Yezidi children and mothers who have suffered from ISIS criminals. At the same time, Yazidis who are legally refugees cannot enter Europe and receive refugee status.
