The Yezidis of Germany will take part in the annual "Nieder Saxony Festival" in Hanover

In Germany, the city of Hanover will host the Nieder Saxony Festival from June 10 to 12. The local Yezidi diaspora, with the support of the Hanover Yezidi House, reserved a place to participate in the festival. At the event, the Yezidis will present their national clothes, cuisine, and familiarize the guests of the festival with the history, culture and traditions of the Yezidi people.

The local "House of the Yezidis of Hanover" calls on all invited Yezidis living in Germany and beyond its chapels to wear national clothes if possible, in order to show the local German population the beauty and variety of colorful outfits of Yezidi national costumes.

A tent with improvisation of Yezidi shepherds in mountainous conditions will be installed at the event. Among the invited guests will also be Yezidi chefs who will present Yezidi field cuisine to all guests. Everyone will be able to buy souvenirs with Yezidi symbols and try different national dishes.
