Exports from Georgia to Ukraine fell by more than 91% from Russia increased by 38.3%

Exports from Georgia to Ukraine in March and April fell by 91%, reports BM.ge. Last year, Georgia delivered $57.6 million worth of goods to Ukraine in two months, this year the figure fell to 5.4 million. At the same time, Ukrainian supplies decreased from $ 78 million to $ 25 million — by 70%.
The trade turnover between Georgia and Russia in January-April 2022 increased by 17.9% compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 559.7 million dollars.

In January-April 2022, 29.7 thousand tons of mineral and fresh water, more than 28 thousand tons of ferroalloys, 12.3 thousand tons of natural grape wine, 9.5 thousand tons of carbonated beverages and so on were exported from Georgia to the Russian Federation.

Russia remains the largest supplier of grain and flour to Georgia. According to statistics, wheat flour with a total weight of 47.7 thousand tons was imported from the neighboring country in January-April of this year, Sakstat reports.

147.1 thousand tons of natural and associated gases, more than 85 thousand tons of oil and petroleum products and so on were also imported from Russia.

Russia remains one of Georgia's largest trading partners. In 2021, the countries traded more than $ 1.6 billion, which is 23.2% more than in 2020. At the same time, exports from Georgia to Russia increased by 38.3% in 2022, and imports from Russia to Georgia – by 15.8%.
