The refugees are in the Bruzgi transport and logistics hub in the city of Grodno. Among them there are Yezidis from Iraq. They believe that returning to Iraq could be fatal for them.
Rustam Bakoyan said: "Today I came on a private visit to get acquainted with the local living conditions and find out what people are worried about and what they want. After that, a decision will be made, I want to note that the relocation of Yazidi refugees to Armenia is a priority for us."
The Armenian MP noted that there is a strong Yezidi community in Armenia. “That's why the community is ready to provide these people with housing and jobs. There are businessmen who are ready to help them start a business”" he added. According to him, this will be followed by negotiations at the interstate level. Armenia supports this idea in advance, he noted.
