According to the lawyer of the former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, Shota Tutberidze, the ex-president will not stop his hunger strike until his request for transfer to a civilian clinic is satisfied.

As the lawyer told reporters after visiting Mikheil Saakashvili in the medical institution of the Gldan prison, even though the former president's health condition is more severe, he feels cheerful.

"Naturally, we talked about his health condition, which is getting worse every day, and this is expected. His position remains unchanged, and he expresses his readiness to consider the appeal of the European Court if the authorities take their share of responsibility and take counter steps. There is no indicator that the Georgian authorities intend to comply with the decision of the European Court, respectively, Mikheil Saakashvili is still on hunger strike and will not stop until the conditions he has already discussed in detail are met," the lawyer said.
